How You Can Help

The Rapid Response Network of Kern has an urgent need for new volunteers. Our volunteers are trainned to help the community with a variety of functions:

  • You can invite us to present Know Your Rights (KYR) and other relevant information to your community.
  • You can become a Know Your Rights (KYR) trainer by attending a train-the-trainer workshop.
  • You can get trained to be a legal observer. Legal observers record and report ICE activity happening in their community.
  • You can become a Mesa Verde visitor to provide support to immigrants imprisoned in the Mesa Verde Detention Center.
  • You can support impacted families by accompanying them to their ICE check-in or connecting them with community resources.

In addition, you can help us advocate for system change in Kern County by demanding your city or school declare itself a sanctuary space.
